A board of directors composed of volunteers to give the pedagogical orientations and to help the development of the association She-El.
Joker: parents or grandparents, who are close to our association, give their time to help in the camps (sanitary assistant, bursar, sports manager…) because She-El is a big family!

“My best memory of camp, as a director, is when the kids were ready for anything, even to throw away the trash of the whole camp to earn points to the maccabiades. And to see some girls who during a break time have created a choregraphy to make us a show!”
Director - Raanana, Israel
“Growing up with camps is an unforgettable must! From animator, instructor to director, I always had fun and enjoyed wonderful holidays with children and friends who are still my friends. It was in those moments that I learned the essentials. Today I love the idea of developing camps in Israel and passing the torch.”

“I am 15 years old, I am a camper in Hyères in the south of France. I win the maccabiades as team leader (my monitor is called Arié), winning the 4 team sports (a feat never achieved before). I’m on the podium with my 7 medals around my neck. I think about Marc Spitz (the American swimmer with 7 gold medals – a legend of the time). A crazy emotion that only camps and maccabiades can provide. A memory for the sight, the proof, 45 years later I still speak about that!”

“At the age of 6, I discover holiday camps. I love the games, I don’t understand all that’s going on but everything’s fine.
At the age of 10, holiday camps, I love them! I introduce my first evening, I win two medals at the Maccabiah Games, I know Birkat Hamazon by heart…
At the age of 13, I am the boss of the camps! Activities, sport, wakes, Enjoy Time, Makolet, Shabbat, even counselors!
At the age of 15, the camp is MY camp! I travel wherever I want, in France or abroad.
At the age of 18, I’m the pretty boy of the team! It’s such a pleasure to be a camp counselor, kids love me and between counselors we have so much fun!
At the age of 23, I’m the director! I manage, I train, I coach: kids, counselors, technical team, cook… everyone loves me… and I enjoy all of that!
At the age of 40, I’m dad, at the age of 60, I’m grandpa, my children (or grandchildren) go to holiday camp, and I go Joker. I make sure that everything is OK. What a pleasure…”

“Camps = friends, brothers, sleepless nights, laughs, tears, emotions, laughs, parties … so many things … my life!”
